Happy Friday!

Here's my latest card , made for the My Favorite Things Color Challenge 89.  I used their BB Somebunny stamp set and pretty much stamped and colored every image from the set!  I ended up not using the carrot, clouds or bow.

I had so much fun decorating the little bunny dresses!  I used Copic Markers and die cut each image out.  My grass was made from Lawn Fawn's Stitched Hillside dies. I also used a handmade template to create the clouds in the background.  How cute is the floating bunny?

I really want to revamp my blog... I don't like how small the photos are and the layout.  But I'm a little be blog illiterate.  I'm hoping to figure it out or have someone help me at some point.  But for now this will do.

Here are the photos!

Have a fabulous weekend, my friends!

Hello!

Spring is almost here, thank goodness.  I've been really enjoying making more spring like cards after spending so much time on Christmas and winter...  This card was a challenge for me as I used the Altenew Layering stamps.  I struggle to get things lined up, probably because I don't take these sets out often enough.  Which makes no sense because I adore them!  I also never quite know which colors will mesh well for layering.  But here goes.  I made this card using the Vintage Roses  layering set from Altenew.  I also used the latest Inspiration Challenge photo for March from Altenew.  Here's the image:

I struggled a little bit to find a blue that I thought matched this photo... In the end, I really love how my card turned out.  I used some Hero Arts Inks as well as Simon Says Stamp.  I'm not sure where my background paper is from as I've had it in my stash for quite some time and I don't have the cover from the pad any longer.  The die cut is from Simon Says Stamp and to match the colors, I ended up coloring a swatch with a Copic Marker and then cutting the word die.  I also embellished with a vellum leaf branch die cut from Simon Says Stamp and some sequins.  Enough words... here is my card!

Here is the link to the challenge... go check it out!  Altenew has amazing floral stamp sets...

Well, hello!  Long time no blog!   I kind of crack myself up, trying to blog.  You see how consistent (not) I am... I want to blog my cards and crochet and photography, but somehow I never do!  So here's one of today's cards.  This is just an iPhone photo, so not ideal.  I'll work on shooting real photos.

This card was for the My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge 367.  I like how it turned out.  I did some ink smooshing with Distress Oxides first.  Then I stamped the butterflies from the MFT set Beautiful Butterflies in Simon Says Stamp Rosie Cheeks ink.  I embossed with Lawn Fawn Rose Gold embossing powder... Isn't it gorgeous!  I layered with a strip of vellum, per the sketch example, and stamped Thank You from the MFT You Give Me Butterflies sentiment set.  I embossed that in the rose gold powder also.  Finally I added some Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
I love how this card turned out.

However... there were some mishaps.  LOL.  I need new pads for my Big Shot and I got smudges all over my  background panel when I was cutting the stitched rectangle.  then I spilled embossing powder all over my lap, so I had to carefully maneuver over to the small vacuum and suck all that mess up... AND my sequins kept sticking to my reverse tweezers, frustrating me to no end.  But all in all... I really like how this turned out.  What do you think?

Meanwhile... I'm heading out of town to babysit my sweet 2 year old grand daughter, Zoey, and I get to be in town while my newest grand daughter is born!  How blessed am I???

Have a fabulous weekend, my friends...
